People who used to select a batch of messages and save them as PDFs find the option gone after switching to new Outlook. In a Microsoft Q&A thread from July 2025, a business user asked how to download many emails to archive them. Microsoft's answer: "the multi-email download capability is currently unavailable in the new Outlook". The same answer says Save as still saves an email to your computer, but "one by one not for multiple emails", and suggests temporarily switching to classic Outlook or sending feedback.
A January 2024 thread asks about the missing Save as PDF. The community moderator's reply: in new Outlook you cannot save an email as a PDF any more; saving changed to an .eml file, which holds the body and the attachments.

The route that works today is in two parts: new Outlook saves each email as an .eml file, and this page turns a whole folder of them into PDFs. You need a computer with new Outlook (or Outlook on the web) and a browser. Nothing is installed and the files are not uploaded.
| Where the email is | How to get the file | Format |
|---|---|---|
| New Outlook for Windows | More actions (the three dots next to Reply and Forward), then Save as | .eml |
| Outlook on the web or Outlook.com | More actions, then Download | .eml or .msg |
| Emails someone sent you as a ZIP | Nothing to do: drop the ZIP itself | .eml or .msg inside |
Both .eml and .msg files work, in the same batch. Files in subfolders are included; anything that is not an email is skipped and counted.

Case emails. Each email in the PDF keeps what you saw in Outlook, with a few additions:
Tested: 300 emails merged into one PDF in about 25 seconds, and 1,000 in about 80 seconds, in Chrome on a laptop. Emails with many pictures from the internet take longer.
| Route | Many emails | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| New Outlook: Print, then Microsoft Print to PDF | One print and one file per email | Free |
| Save as .eml, then this page, one PDF per email | One click per email, no printing | Free |
| Save as .eml, then this page, all at once | One download for the whole folder | Paid |
The print steps for a single email are on the save an email as PDF page. What the merged file contains is on the merge EML files into one PDF page, and single files work on the EML to PDF page.
Not at the moment. Microsoft's answer in its Q&A forum (July 2025) says multi-email download is unavailable in new Outlook and Save as works one email at a time.
An .eml file, which holds the email body and its attachments. This page opens .eml files and turns them into PDFs.
No. Drop the whole folder, or the ZIP, on the box at the top of this page. Only .eml and .msg files are opened; other files are skipped.
No. The files are read and converted in your browser. Folders and ZIPs are opened on your device too.
Viewing and one PDF per email are free, with no limit. Saving all emails at once, as a ZIP of PDFs or one merged PDF, needs a Case Pass, Pro or Legal plan.
Yes. Links in the email body stay clickable in the PDF made by this page.
